Synanon preserving water in the drought of 1976

PIX-TV news footage from February 15, 1976 with reporter Eric Smith featuring a visit to the Synanon drug rehabilitation ranch (now Walker Creek Ranch) near the town of Marshall in Marin County, where the organization has implemented water conservation measures in response to drought conditions. Includes views of the 1700 acre ranch, its main reservoir and an interview with residents, who explain how they are all trying to save water. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.

This 16mm negative film print was transferred in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in January 2023.
