Black Panthers escort Stokely Carmichael to visit Huey P. Newton

KPIX-TV news footage from February 16 1968 with reporter Ben Williams featuring views of Black Panther Party (Oakland Chapter) members Bobby Seale, Eldridge Cleaver, David Hilliard and Kathleen Cleaver escorting Stokely Carmichael, as he signs in to visit Huey P. Newton in jail in Oakland. With many reporters trying to cover this story, the scene is quite chaotic and this is reflected in the picture and sound quality, as the KPIX camera crew struggle to keep track of Carmichael. Includes a brief snippet of Carmichael stating [Newton]: "Is going to be free or else!" Note that almost all questions from reporters are ignored by this group although you can view KTVU coverage in DIVA (KTVU 15-8), which does include a statement from Bobby Seale.
