KRON-TV special program from c1960 narrated by Jerry Jensen featuring a point-of-view drive around San Francisco's 49-Mile Scenic Drive taking in the city's topography and architecture. Scenic Drive is a designated scenic road tour highlighting much of the city which was created in 1938 by the San Francisco Down Town Association to showcase the city's major attractions and natural beauty during the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition. Includes views of: Seacliff neighborhood; the Palace of The Legion of Honor; Lincoln Park Municipal golf course; the Cliff House (and Sky Tram which operated between 1955-61); Seal Rocks; Playland at the Beach; Fleishhacker Zoo; Golden Gate Park; Steinhart Aquarium; the Sunset District; the Forest Hill neighborhood; Twin Peaks; the Mission District (including Mission Dolores); the Mclaren golf course; Embarcadero freeway; Market Street; City Hall; the San Francisco Opera House; Van Ness Avenue; San Franisco Maritime Museum; Marina Boulevard; the Palace of Fine Arts and Golden Gate Bridge.
