Description
KPIX-TV news footage from July 1966 with reporter Rollin Post featuring scenes from a Hayward motel, where nurses and California State mediators are trying to resolve the labor dispute which caused 91 nurses to resign from Eden Hospital in Castro Valley. There is a press conference with Thomas Nikolopoulos (State Superintendent of Mediation) and Ralph Hartley (Research Director for the California Nurses Association), who both comment on the current status of negotiations. Includes silent views of the negotiating teams in session and a separate interview with Hartley in a corridor. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.

This 16mm b&w positive reversal film print was transferred in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in July 2023.
