Description
KTVU News footage from August 8th 1968 featuring reporter Carlton Cordell reflecting to-camera about how: "Being a reporter on the Huey Newton murder trial is not an easy task." He points out that the Alameda Sheriff's Department is regulating security and access to the courtroom on a strict basis. There are only a total of 28 press seats inside the court and the challenges involved in obtaining a press pass have meant many newspapers and TV networks have been excluded from the proceedings. Ends with silent views of one of these press passes and of the Sheriff's office. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
