They all describe their reaction to the Bayview Hunters Point social uprising express little faith in any police investigation of the shooting of teenager Matthew 'Peanut' Johnson and explain the need for African Americans to be involved in policy making. Rev. Boswell refers with cold fury to a lack of police cooperation with the community and how: "These older policeman who know how to 'handle niggers' dominate the police department and control its relationship with the negro community."
