KQED News report from July 9th 1973 featuring the growth of and attitude towards the gay community in San Francisco's Eureka Valley Neighborhood especially in the Castro district. Includes street scenes along Castro Street interviews with gay and straight residents and silent rooftop views of the neighborhood. As the reporter puts it in an editorial to camera: "Residents have discovered that almost overnight their neighborhood has become San Francisco's new gay Mecca."
