Description
KPIX Eyewitness news footage from August 4th 1969 featuring an interview given by Bobby Seale. Seale discusses recent arrests of Black Panther Party newspaper salesmen and compares San Francisco Mayor Joseph Alioto to Adolf Hitler by claiming that as Hitler quietly built up the Brownshirts while "slick-talking" the public Alioto has done the same thing with the San Francisco Police Department's Tactical Squad who Seale believes was responsible for the latest crackdown. Seale also answers the reporter's questions about Eldridge Cleaver who was in exile in Algiers at the time of the interview explaining that the Panthers had invited both Alioto and California Governor Ronald Reagan to call and speak with Cleaver about his return.
