Description
KPIX Eyewitness News report from July 11th 1967 by Belva Davis at City Hall in San Francisco featuring a protest by members of the Western Addition area poverty office. Davis explains that they'd been hired last week and then fired because there weren't sufficient funds to keep supporting the jobs program. Mayor John Shelley is asking the Board of Supervisors for $45k to provide 100 new jobs. Includes views of protestors and a brief glimpse of George Mason Murray who tells reporters that they only want to address "the immediate issue of the jobs for this two month period ... we don't have to discuss anything else now but that!"
