Muhammad Ali on his name, integration and Dr. King

KPIX Eyewitness news report from June 30th 1967 featuring a press conference by boxer Muhammad Ali who was recently banned from boxing for three years on June 20th 1967 for refusing the Vietnam Draft. He explains the significance of changing his name from Cassius Clay to Muhammad Ali considers issues of racial integration and black consciousness and reflects on the teachings of Elijah Muhammad and Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. When a reporter asks him: "Would you fight Floyd Patterson differently if you had to do it over again?" he replies "yes." When the reporter questions "How?" Ali simply says: "Whup him worser." Also includes brief silent views of Ali speaking to an audience in what appears to be a church/community hall.
