KPIX Eyewitness News report from December 12th 1969 by Belva Davis featuring a press conference in which the U.S. Attorney for Northern California Cecil F. Poole announces he will be resigning from his post after 8 years of service effective at the end of January 1970. He goes on to explain his plans for the future. Also includes statements from James L. Browning who is being nominated by President Nixon as Poole's replacement. Note that Poole was the first ever African American U.S. Attorney in the continental United States and Browning's appointment was confirmed by the U.S. Senate a position in which he served till 1977.
