Description
KRON-TV news footage from March 4th 1970 featuring scenes from a press conference by Joan Baez in which she talks about her husband David Harris and the challenge of organizing protests within the prison system. At one point she refers to the Safford federal prison camp in Arizona, from which Harris was transferred to what was then a maximum security prison near El Paso in Texas: La Tuna. Baez also speaks to why she didn't take part in major protests by students and the community at San Francisco State University. Ends with views of the press and media working with their equipment.
