Description
KPIX-TV news footage from September 17, 1967 featuring scenes from a press conference held by the Synanon organization, in which a spokesperson describes their version of events during yesterday's incident at the Del Mar Club in Santa Monica, where police arrested 8 Synanon members for trying to prevent bulldozers from tearing down a fence and breaking up two tennis courts. Note that Synanon had purchase this property two months ago and 1000 members and supporters gathered in San Francisco's Synanon headquarters at 110 Lombard Street on the evening of September 16, to protest against the city action and police arrests in Santa Monica.
