Gloria Steinem speaks at the College of Marin

KPIX-TV news footage from January 17, 1973 featuring scenes from a speech by Gloria Steinem at the College of Marin. Steinhem refers to how society makes use of "caste systems" as a means of control, which she says need to be resisted. She goes on to describe various ways of doing this. Ends with silent views of reporters watching Steinem and a close up of a woman film camera operator. Note that light levels in the auditorium were low while KPIX were shooting this newsfilm. This 16mm color reversal film print was re-transferred in 4K (4096x2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in August 2023.
