Description
KPIX-TV news footage from September 21, 1966 with reporter Rollin Post featuring scenes from a press conference by Nassar Shabazz, at the Western Addition Anti-Poverty area office in San Francisco (at Fillmore and Ellis). Nasser was fired from his position as the organizer of District 3 of the Western Addition Anti-Poverty Area Board on September 15 and is charging 7 board members - including chairman Hervy Luster - of gross malpractice. Shabazz was local chairman of the African Descent National Independence Partition Party and had worked for the Anti-Poverty office for 3 months. He claims that: "After my office hours I am free to exercise my rights in any political party as I see fit, or think as I please."
