Description
KRON-TV news footage from circa July 1968 with reporter Art Brown featuring an interview with impresario and concert promoter Bill Graham outside the Fillmore West venue on South Van Ness Avenue, which is being prepared for what will be its opening weekend of July 5-7, 1968. Brown begins by asking Graham: "How soon does the name change to Fillmore West?" and they go on to discuss: Graham's career history and continuing success in the industry; the relative importance of rock group names; the "responsibility of being a rock n roll star" in communities; how listening to live rock music is becoming more prevalent than actual dancing at venues and how rock music will potentially evolve.
