Nurses expand strike to another two hospitals

KPIX-TV news footage from June 19, 1969 with reporter Belva Davis featuring views of nurses picketing outside a hospital, as they extend a week-long strike at 5 Bay Area hospitals to include Providence and Peralta hospitals in Oakland. Includes an interview with a spokesperson who explains that hospital administrators are refusing to accept their demands for more involvement with staffing and nusrsing procedures, in the form of "so called professional performance committees."
