Description
KRON-TV news footage from October 24, 1966 featuring a report on the history and preservation of Angel Island. Includes views of the island from a boat, of Camp Reynolds (West Garrison) and of the panorama seen from the summit of Mount Livermore. There are interviews with Charles A. Winslow, Chairman of the Angel Island Foundation and of a director of the California Marine Parks and Harbors Association, who want to develop preservation efforts for the island. We are also told about a "Discover Angel Island Tour", which is being held on Sunday 30 October, to rally support for conservancy on the island. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.

This 16mm color reversal film print was scanned in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in March 2024.
