Voting in the next election

The General Election is Nov. 3, 2026. You can register to vote online and receive a ballot by mail until Oct. 16 (California Secretary of State); or register and vote at a polling place on Election Day (S.F. Department of Elections). If you aren't sure whether you're registered, check at My Voter Status.

Research for Real Life: Fact-Checking

Join SF State librarians for an interactive workshop to learn about several tools you can use to fact-check information you come across in your daily life.

Whether it’s social media, articles, ads, or that article your family member shared in the group chat — how can you know what to trust? And how can you find something reliable?

p.s. Free food!

p.p.s. This session is designed with SFSU students in mind, but if you're a staff or faculty member and you're interested in the topic, get in touch!
