Job Description: Basic library skills such as filing, shelving, and processing library materials. Knowledge of computer software and department procedures; good interpersonal skills. Processing materials in different formats in the Collection Management Dept.
Availability: Employment paperwork must be ready at the time of hire. Student must be able to work the Summer Session.


Qualifications: Computer skills (Windows): Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to follow written instructions and to refer problems to supervisor, attention to details, systematic problem-solving as described in instruction manual, good eye-hand coordination; accuracy and neatness. Ability to lift moderately heavy boxes (15-40lbs), and to move book trucks loaded with materials within the same weight range.

Work Hours: 

Hours: M-F 8am-4:30pm up to 15-20 hrs/week. Hours may vary.

You must be enrolled full-time at SFSU to be employed in a Work-Study position (12 units - undergraduates, 8 units - graduates)..

The Student Assistant program is NOT a financial aid program. It is funded by the State and provides part-time, on-campus positions available to students who are enrolled at least half-time at SFSU (6 units - undergraduates, 4 units - graduates).
