Studying in the Library

A variety of different study areas are provided on all floors of the library. In general, upper floors tend to be quieter than floors on the lower level of the building. Check the Library Floor Maps for a complete listing of group and quiet study rooms and areas.

Group Study

Groups who need to have discussions while studying and collaborating are encouraged to use a group study room on the 1st and Ground floors or to use the group study areas in the 2nd floor corridor. At this time group study rooms are only available on a first-come/first-served basis.

Quiet Study

Quiet study areas are provided in the Study Commons on the Ground floor and in the Research Commons on the 1st floor.

Extended Hours Study

The Library offers extended hours study hours in the Research Commons and the lobby area on the 1st floor and in the Study Commons on the ground floor. Check the library hours for the most current information.

Laptop Checkout

Need a laptop while you're studying? Check one out from the Research Commons for up to 4 hours for use anywhere on campus. Laptop Checkout information.
