Viewing & Listening to Media
Overview
Library Media Services offers listening and viewing of media. Users must have a valid SF State ID (OneCard) or (or, in some cases, a Special Borrower Card and picture ID).
To inquire about equipment for recording video, please ask your instructor to contact Academic Technology for you.
Viewing Library and Academic Technology Media
Films and videos held in the Library collection can be viewed in Library Media Services at most times when the Library is open. Videotapes require a 24 hour retrieval.
Films in the Academic Technology collection can be viewed weekdays when AT is open. The media is sent via cable from the AT Center. Reservations are recommended and must be made in person at Library Media Services; no phone reservations.

Note: films and videos cannot be checked out by students.
Listening to Library Media
You can listen to Library owned CDs, LPs and tapes in Library Media Services.
Students, faculty and staff can borrow CDs in the Library collecton. More information on borrowing.
Viewing & Listening to Your own Media
You can bring film, video and audio to use in Library Media Services. The following formats are supported:
