SF State Users
The Library uses a computer sign-on system to ensure equitable access to computers. SF State students, faculty and staff sign on with their University ID number and Library PIN to use computers in the Research Commons and Study Commons for up to two hours, with the option to renew for additional two hour sessions. After signing in, SF State users can also use computers in the Digital Media Studio (students) for up to three hours at a time, with the option to renew for additional sessions.
Friends of the Library, Alumni Association and Guest Users
There are 6 computers in the Research Commons on the first floor of the Library which can be used for up to two hours per day by members of Friends of the Library and the Alumni Association, as well as by registered guest users. Guest users must first obtain a Guest Card and ID number at the Book Pickup and Checkout counter. A valid state photo ID or a passport is required. The Guest account is valid for one year from the registration date.
