The Interlibrary Services unit assists SF State students, faculty and staff to borrow materials from other libraries that are not available at the J. Paul Leonard Library.
Link+ (a free service for current SF State faculty, students and staff) is the fastest and easiest way to get books and media not available in Library collections. You'll need to setup a Library PIN before you can use Link+.
- The last date for SF State faculty, students and staff to request books using LINK+ is May 26, 2017
- Between May 27th and July 9th, all requests to borrow books will be handled using ILLiad
- Beginning July 10th, SF State faculty, students and staff will be able to place requests to borrow books from other CSU libraries using the new OneSearch and CSU+ services
If you can't find books or articles in one of the Library Collections or using Link+, then try ILLiad. ILLiad is free service for current SF State faculty, students and staff. Requests generally take longer than Link+ and you'll need to setup an ILLiad account before you can start using the service.
Lending Policy for Other Libraries
The San Francisco State University (SF State) Library shares its collections with other libraries via our Interlibrary Services (ILS/ILL) Lending Unit. SF State ILS does NOT accept requests from individual researchers. If you are not an ILL staff member at another library, please request our collection items by using your library's ILL service.
