Interlibrary Services

The Interlibrary Services unit assists SF State students, faculty and staff to borrow materials from other libraries that are not available at the J. Paul Leonard Library.

CSU+ is a free service for current SF State faculty, students and staff, and is accessed through OneSearch. CSU+ is the fastest and easiest way to get books and media not available in Library collections.

  • Between May 27th and July 9th, all requests to borrow books will be handled using ILLiad
  • Beginning July 10th, SF State faculty, students and staff will be able to place requests to borrow books from other CSU libraries using the new OneSearch and CSU+ services

More Information about CSU+

If you can't find books or articles in one of the Library collections or using CSU+, then the document delivery/interlibrary loan service ILLiad is there to help. ILLiad is free service for current SF State faculty, students and staff.

Lending Policy for Other Libraries

The San Francisco State University (SF State) Library shares its collections with other libraries via our Interlibrary Services (ILS/ILL) Lending Unit. SF State ILS does NOT accept requests from individual researchers. If you are not an ILL staff member at another library, please request our collection items by using your library's ILL service.
