Concert Event: Muzio Clementi Compositions played on Historic Clementi Instrument

San Francisco State University School of Music Presents a Fortepiano Recital honoring the memory of Serena de Bellis (Curator Emeritus of the Frank V. de Bellis Collection) with Victoria Neve and Inara Morgenstern performing a program of music by Muzio Clementi (1752-1832). The concert will be performed on the historic Clementi fortepiano and will feature Clementi’s Sonata in F Major, Op. 24, No. 2, Sonata in B-Flat Major, Op. 47, No. 2, and Sonata No. I in E-Flat Major for Piano, Four Hands.

Serena de Bellis, Curator Emerita, died on Monday, February 6, 2017. de Bellis served as the first curator of the Frank V. de Bellis Collection at San Francisco State University from 1963 until her retirement in 1989. She donated the rare fortepiano manufactured in London by Muzio Clementi & Co. (circa 1808-1809) to the Collection in her husband's memory on April 11, 1969.
