Study Space Opens in New Building Monday, Jan. 23
January 17th, 2012
A limited number of seats will be available for study in the new building. Cafe seating in the entrance lobby and extensive study space further inside near the Checkout/ Pickup area. Monday – Thursday 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Friday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; closed Sundays.

Will the library have a 24 hour study area?
What will become of the Annex?

Yes, there will be a 24 hour study area that will usually be open when classes are in session. We don’t have a firm date for opening it yet, but it should be in March.

Yes. There will be a mix of computer, study tables and group study rooms in the extended hours areas in the new Library.

The university is still finalizing plans for how to use the Annexes after the Library moves out.

Are there private rooms available for study groups? If so, do they need to be reserved in advance? How? Thank you!

It’s March in 4 hours will the library be open with full access?

Sorry, the Library will not be fully open until later this semester. Most of the building will be open on March 26th,with the remaining spaces opening later.

There will be 18 group study rooms, plus a large group study area. We hope to have a reservation system in place by the end of the semester.
