This is Banned Books Week. For some background information on what Banned Books Week is all about, when it started and who sponsors it, take a look at this American Library Association page. We don’t have any activities planned ourselves, although we have had in the past–and would love to do so again in the future if there was an upsurge of energy and interest on campus. In the meantime, we encourage you to read a banned book this week.

There are also a number of online activities in Second Life, MySpace, Facebook, and Flickr. Check-out additional American Library Association and Google Books BBW info.
