Trouble requesting books? Let us know about it.

We are getting scattered reports of a range of different kinds of problems patrons are having requesting books.We’re doing our best to track these down and resolve them, but it would be very helpful if you would tell us about them when they happen.

Please leave a comment below. Indicate the title of the book, a brief description of what went wrong, whether you were using a Mac or Windows PC, and your email address, if you’d like us to get back to you.

We’re sorry about these problems, which are related to the installation of the Library Retrieval System (LRS) over the summer. Library staff are working with the Library System vendor to resolve these issues as quickly as possible.

    I requrested 3 or 4 books from the SFSU collection over a week ago and haven’t received notice of their arrival in HSS 102.

    Can you please tell me it they are being held for me or whether there is a problem or not?

    Your books should be in HSS 102 in 1 business day. If they were in the Library Retrieval System (LRS) when you requested them, then you won’t be notified. We know this is confusing and hope to have the problem fixed soon
