Beginning in 1963, massive civil disobedience actions swept through San Francisco. Demonstrations focused on discriminatory hiring practices that excluded African-Americans from employment equal to white workers and shook the city’s liberal image of itself.
Featuring photographs by Phiz Mezey, this collaborative exhibit presents selections from the Labor Archives and Research Center and the archives at the San Francisco History Center. Curated by Nancy Arms Simon.

Library representatives met with Associated Students on October 20, 2010 to get their input on the future Library building. They provided us with a lot of very useful feedback and ideas. We’d also like to hear from you.
Let us know what types of services and spaces you’d like to see in the new library.
Also, let us know if you have come across something in another library that you think we should consider trying in our new library.
Thanks.
