UPDATE: DoITÂ announced late Friday afternoon that the changes to the wireless login procedure will not take place until Wednesday, February 3rd.
Starting Monday, February 1st, there will be a new procedure for logging into the campus wireless network. When prompted for a user name, enter your complete SF State email address: student@sfsu.edu. When asked for a password, enter your SF State email password.
If you experience any problems logging into the wireless network, contact the DoIT Help Desk, 338-1420 or helpdesk@sfsu.edu.

The Division of Information Technology has announced that there will be a network outage starting at 10pm this Saturday, January 30th, and possibly lasting until 6am on Sunday, January 31st. The outage is necessary in order to install a redundant network core switch. The actual network service downtime is not anticipated to exceed 2 hours although the outages may occur intermittently throughout the period scheduled.
During the outage there will be no access to the Library Catalog, databases, eReserves, the Library Website or to other websites and web services, such as email.
Once the upgrade is complete there will be no impact to users and users will not need to make any changes to their computers.
