This isn’t a free university though. The tuition is more than enough to promise some exclusivity to library resources. I don’t like waiting for a Mac because someone off the street is checking Facebook.

Wow!! Is this truly San francisco? Kick out all the homeless people? come on. you might be next considering this is indeed a state level education. Who knows when the next crisis is going to hit?

Lets remember that this is a public university, funded by public money, thus this policy is excluding those who have helped fund our education. And that is not cool.

We hope to have an ID check procedure in place next semester. In the meantime the campus security officers are doing spot checks at different times of the day to try to minimize the number of users in the Study Commons who are not current SF State students, faculty or staff.

Will be open only to current SF State students, faculty and staff with a valid SF State One Card ID! This is a great policy, but how will you make sure/ enforce this policy? I don’t see anyone checking people’s ID in the library….

If this is true, please kick out the homeless people who aren’t students and who are not studying. They usually arrive around ten pm. Get security to help out the desk if that’s what it takes. They are highly distracting.
