The Division of Information Technology (DoIT) is working on the wireless issues in Annex I. Since your post they have made a number of changes that seem to have improved wireless connectivity in Annex I. If you continue to have problems, it’s important to let the Library staff working at the desk know so they can pass the info on to DoIT.

Hey to anyone that is having trouble connecting, a simple fix is to change your Wireless MAC address. If you dont know how to do this just google it or ask someone who is tech savvy. Everytime I have had trouble connecting I just changed my MAC and it connects perfectly!

This is just unacceptable! The network on campus is absolute trash! The person in charge of the on-campus network needs to be responsible for the quality of the network. Why is out tuition so high if they can’t offer even the basic tools to do research?

SFSU needs to update their entire system. It is unbelievable that College of San Mateo, a community college, has a better wireless system than we do. I understand that the buildings are not built to accommodate the wireless signals, however, we need to then invest in new routers then! It is very frustrating when we need to download something or research items in our study lounge but we can’t connect to the Internet! Please update the system or at least let us “History students” invest our selves in a new router for our lounge!
