Book Pickup/Checkout will open in the new building on the first floor Monday, Jan. 23.
You should continue to request books from the collection using the online catalog.
Library users will no longer have to wait 24 hours to retrieve books. Books will now be available for pick up within four hours.
Book Pickup and Checkout service will be temporarily unavailable Thurs. Jan. 19-Sun. Jan. 22 while this service relocates to the J. Paul Leonard Library. During this time no book requests will be processed, including Link+ and ILLiad requests. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The Library and Academic Technology have completed integrating electronic reserves into iLearn. Beginning with the spring 2012 semester, electronic reserves will be available exclusively within iLearn. Documents or files previously available through Docutek ERes will continue to be available for reuse in iLearn.
The service point for students to check out physical reserve materials will move to the Book Checkout & Pickup desk on the J. Paul Leonard Library first floor effective January 23, 2012. Faculty will continue to drop off materials to place on reserve in the HSS building, but the drop off point will be HSS 114. Hours for drop off of materials will be Mon.-Fri. 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., and Mon.-Thurs. 5:00-7:00 p.m. by appointment.

There will a new look for the Link+ central catalog going live Tuesday, January 3rd.
All functionality will be the same but with a sleeker, more up-to-date appearance.

In preparation for reopening the J. Paul Leonard Library in spring 2012, Library Annex I and Library Media Services and Laptop Checkout in HSS will be closed during the winter intersession, Jan. 3-22, 2012.
Library collections will be available throughout the winter intersession with the exception of current periodicals and print reference collections in Library Annex I. Book Pickup and Checkout in HSS 102 will be available Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. with the exception of Monday, Jan. 16, the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday when the campus is closed. Book Pickup and Checkout services will be temporarily unavailable during the period that they relocate to the J. Paul Leonard Library. Dates for that relocation are still to be determined.

For your safety and convenience the University Police Department has extended the escort hours during finals.
From Thursday, December 8th to Saturday, December 17th, the escort service hours will be 4:30pm to 6:00am.
Please call (415) 338-7200 or on campus X87200, to request an escort.
You can also ask any Community Service Officer on duty.

Cesar Chavez Student Center is once again going to be open 24 hours for the end of the semester. If you need a comfortable place to get away and study for your finals, you’ve got one here. There will be extended programming and vendor hours. Check the Student Center website for more information.

The university will be shutting down the power in Library Annex I and II on Friday, November 25 starting at approximately 11am to perform routine maintenance. The Library Catalog, Articles and Databases, Electronic Reserves, and other electronic resources will be unavailable until approximately noon on Saturday November 26th. Please let us know if you experience problems accessing online Library resources after this time.
