The Cesar Chavez Student Center presents Final Stretch Spring 2013
The Center will be open extended hours: 10pm to 7am Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 24th. The Cesar Chavez Center will open to provide an extended home during the last week of classes and final exams period for studying, relaxation and services.

SF State faculty members have a new place to meet, confer or mingle.
The Faculty Commons is located on the second floor of the library in room 286 and is open to all faculty and their guests five days a week. The Commons features tables, chairs and couches as well as an art display and large windows overlooking the quad, Student Center and Fine Arts building.
The Faculty Commons, on the second floor of the library, features space to meet or relax and overlooks the quad.
The room is available for a variety of gatherings — presentations, brown bags, meetings, receptions, readings, potlucks and mixers — or for faculty to simply be by themselves or with their colleagues. Faculty Affairs, which manages the Commons, is accepting feedback and suggestions for additional uses.
“What’s unique about this space is that it can evolve to meet a range of needs,” said Dean of Faculty Affairs and Professional Development Sacha Bunge.
The Faculty Commons is open to faculty and their guests from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday. Faculty may reserve the room for non-private events Mondays through Fridays and bookings should be made 48 hours in advance. Reservations for closed events are only accepted for Fridays and must also be made with 48 hours notice. An online calendar is being developed to let faculty view upcoming events in the Commons.
Food and drink in covered containers are allowed in the room, but there are no electrical appliances such as microwaves. To reserve the Commons, ask a question about the space or make a suggestion for its use, contact Faculty Affairs at facaffrs@sfsu.edu.
