Everyone: There is a problem with the sign-in roster – it seems to be down. FYI
Just a quick reminder to send any Biology students looking for bones to Media Services (LIB 85) — home to all non-print materials! They...

1. Occasionally, users will return San Francisco Public Library books (and books from other city libraries) to Annex 1. If you’re unable to scan a book when its returned, look for the “San Francisco Public Library” label. While we borrow books from the SFPL via “Link+”, all “Link+” books will have an attached banner...
Jeff O’Connor (our Annex 1 security supervisor) maintains the two desk areas adjacent to his office desk. Please keep this area ‘free’ of library materials and supplies. He needs the area to organize his work needs. The heavy duty stapler is located behind the Reference Desk, on the rolling file cabinet.
Everyone: I’ve spent an inordinate amount of time fixing the Heavy Duty stapler. It involves pliers, tweezers, cut fingers, screwdrivers, etc. The problem isn’t too many pages being stapled — its too few. If you use the heavy duty stapler for less than 50 pages, it will jam. Most staplers (including the electric one...
You may have noticed the cool signage in Annex 1. Paul Jackson and crew created signs to indicate the software available on the “Research”, “MAC”, and “Extended” workstations. Check them out!
The copying center in Cesar Chavez Student Center has changed their name. Now, its called “Campus Graphics Copying Center”. Their number is 338-2434 and they’re located in Mezzanine 110. I had some trouble finding their site from the campus home page, so I’ll note their office number of the paper desk directories.
Anyone know the password to get into the editing equipment? There are 3 reservations and I don’t have any info on how to unlock the stations.
Everyone: We can’t print from Annex 1 – MAC and Extended Workstations. Photocopiers ok, however. Systems has been notified
Everyone: I recently stocked all the service desk areas in Annex 1 with new office pencils and attached written markers indicating they should be returned to Annex 1 desk areas. Today, they’re all gone. If patrons ask to ‘borrow’ a pencil, a high percentage of them do not return. Remember – we have boxes...
Everyone! If you’re checking out periodical(s) from Annex 1, be sure to include ‘one’ blue “Current Periodical Single Issue” slip. Be sure to date the slip with a due date. Also, if patron is checking out multiple issues, you don’t need to attach a blue slip to each periodical – one will suffice. Thanks!
