Students are now able to add funds onto their OneCard from OneCard’s website. Student’s will have to log in with their SFSU id number and password. I’m not certain how Guests will be able to add value onto the Guest Cards though because the guest’s link ask for an SFSU id number and password...
I’ve placed a call to the OneCard informing them the VTS machine (closest towards the inside of the Annex) is temporarily out of service, which means we currently have one operating VTS machine. Hopefully its just full or out of paper or out of guest cards and nothing drastic.
This morning I called the OneCard office to get an update on whether they know when students will be able to add money from their debit/credit cards onto their student/faculty OneCards. VTS Machine closest to the inner annex is out of service. It has been called to OneCard unfortunately they will not be able to take care of it until Monday. We still have one active VTS, closest to the doors and hopefully it doesn’t breakdown or a sudden flood of students over the weekend….
Librarians and Info Point members are still greatly appreciated for helping to sign patrons into the white binder, who wish to use one of the a/v workstations, but now one of the Annex Techs or student assistants must unlock the stations from their Tech’s desk (that is behind the partition).
I was just notified by a librarian that during night time a lot of students are sitting at computer stations simply for studying whereas other students who actually are in need of the computers are left there standing to wait for another available computer. This has been resolved. Students are able to log-in to PC and Research Computers but Internet Explorer, Firefox, Microsoft Word (and perhaps other softwares) are running really REALLY slow. A student had a problem with the database Lexus/Nexus with no search result coming up. Make sure the student is using Firefox browser instead of Internet Explorer, that should solve the problem.
