Extended Services During Last Part of the Semester

The Library makes the following arrangements for extending/expanding services during the last two weeks of classes and finals week:

  • Opens room 280 with approximately 70 desktop computers for open computer use starting Mon. Dec. 2 with the exception of any scheduled instructional sessions or proctored final exams using that room.  Room 280 is within the Main Library, so is open Main Library hours.  See the Library’s hours online: http://www.library.sfsu.edu/about/hours.php
  • Reserves the Events Room for open quiet study 24/7 starting Mon. Dec. 2 with the exception of any reservations the week of Dec. 2-6 using that room.
  • Extends hours in the Study Commons on Fri. and Sat. nights from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. closing the last two weekends of the semester (Dec. 6-7 and Dec. 13-14)
  • The Library also collaborates with the Student Center to provide additional study space during finals.  The Student Center’s 24 hour access will be from Monday, December 9, 2013, thru Friday, December 20, 2013 closing at 10pm.  Exceptions are Saturday, December 14, when it will close at 10pm, and Sunday, December 15, when it will be open from 10am to 10pm.
