DoIT/ Help Desk!

The DoIT Help Desk (Division of Information Technology)  is alive and well. They’re located in Admin 110 (phone: 338-1420).  The staff are willing and able to solve tech related questions and software problems. (Hardware problems can be confirmed, but will require a referral i.e. they don’t fix hardware).

Their hours are:
8am to 6pm – Monday through Thursday
8am to 5pm – Friday (no weekend hours)

If you can’t make the Help Desk hours, they’re supporting a new webpage called “Tech Central”.  (  The page has Contact Info, How-To-Guides, and a “Service Catalog” (login required / SFSU users only) where you can request help via a ‘service request ticket’.  Options include:

  1. Completing the online service request form
  2. Logging in to the Service Catalog and selecting the requested service from those listed
  3. Sending email to from an or address
  4. Or by contacting your local IT Service Provider (staff and faculty only)
