DoIT/ Help Desk!

Everyone:
The DoIT Help Desk (Division of Information Technology)  is alive and well. They’re located in Admin 110 (phone: 338-1420).  The staff are willing and able to solve tech related questions and software problems. (Hardware problems can be confirmed, but will require a referral i.e. they don’t fix hardware).

Their hours are:
8am to 6pm – Monday through Thursday
8am to 5pm – Friday (no weekend hours)

If you can’t make the Help Desk hours, they’re supporting a new webpage called “Tech Central”.  (http://tech.sfsu.edu)  The page has Contact Info, How-To-Guides, and a “Service Catalog” (login required / SFSU users only) where you can request help via a ‘service request ticket’.  Options include:

  1. Completing the online service request form
  2. Logging in to the Service Catalog and selecting the requested service from those listed
  3. Sending email to service@sfsu.edu from an @sfsu.edu or @mail.sfsu.edu address
  4. Or by contacting your local IT Service Provider (staff and faculty only)
