Amazing though it may seem, some students have asked why we don’t have print dictionaries on stands like we had in the old library. There is now a copy of the large Webster’s 3rd International Dictionary on a wooden stand at the following open study locations: Quiet Study Room in Study Commons; Quiet Study Room in Research Commons; outside of the elevator lobbies (west side, near a column) on floors 1, 3 and 4; and on the 3rd floor between the open stacks and north study area (backside of the staff elevator). In the 3rd floor Reference collection area, there are also some desk (smaller) copies that students can take to a table.
