Both the Research Commons and Study Commons now have a walkie talkie for contacting the on duty IT staff. The IT staff assigned for any given shift will carry a walkie talkie, so they can be contacted when not immediately available in the help desk area or reachable by phone. In the Research Commons, the walkie talkie is located at the IM Workstation. In the Study Commons, the walkie talkie is located at the help desk.
Note: Walkie Talkie Operation
1> Press button on left side of Walkie Talkie to talk (speak clearly and in short phrases)
2> Release button and wait for reply (only one person can speak at a time)
3> Acknowledge the message was received
