Problem Opening Some ProQuest PDF files

Jessica at the Chancellor’s office has reported the following problem with ProQuest Databases:

There is a known issue with ProQuest PDF errors and the issue has been escalated and ProQuest hopes to have the issue resolved quickly. Some PDFs in ProQuest freeze when trying to open, it states it is initializing and it the PDF never opens.

    Everyone: If PDF doesn’t open, try copying the address and opening it in another browser i.e. Firefox. Most of my PDF’s freeze when I’m using Safari and IE.

    When I click on a PDF result in a search, I do not get a PDF image. The print function only prints the image showing in the frame.

    Do you have a remedy?
