Memory Stick/ Flash Drive and Public Workstations

Everyone:

When students are inserting a personal memory stick/ flash drive into the public workstations, they may get a message saying ‘contact systems administrator’.  Carl (our knowledgeable Student Assistant) noted that workstations may experience a slight delay when reading a user’s personal flash drive.  The ‘contact systems…’ message may appear during this process.

Students can ignore this message.  Have them ‘click’ on the icon for their memory stick/ flash drive and it should open.  Do not select the ‘cancel operation’ button.
