Sorry to say that we are still having wireless network access issues. DoIT is aware of this and has assigned a network tech to assist in resolving the problems. Please let me and Chris Novak know as you hear from patrons who can’t connect to the wireless network.
DoIT has increased the maximum number of connections per wireless access point to 200 as of around 1pm this afternoon. Please let Thoreau Lovell know if you continue to get complaints from users that they can’t connect to or are getting disconnected from the wifi network.
If you see Mark Buza (also known as “survivalist guy”) in the Library or on campus call the Police. He has been issued a campus stay away order for seven days, starting 23:30 10/25/11 and ending 11/1/11.

Kim notified over the weekend that DoIT was doing a system upgrade over the weekend which would affect the Wireless. It should have been done by 3PM yesterday (10/23/11) but so far, as of today (10/24/11) I’ve had a couple of students having trouble signing on to the wireless. I’ve let Kim known about...
Currently Mathematica and SPSS are up and running. We are still waiting for the license of SAS and ArcGIS but so far no word…yet. -Holden

FYI: From the Library Home Page Book Requests Temporarily Unavailable Fri – Sat (Oct. 14-15) Book requests will be temporarily unavailable starting Friday, October 14 at 4PM until Saturday, October 15 around 2PM. The power will be out on the Library Retrieval System during this time for maintenance. Sorry for any inconvenience.
FYI Everyone: When students are inserting a personal memory stick/ flash drive into the public workstations, they may get a message saying ‘contact systems administrator’. Carl (our knowledgeable Student Assistant) noted that workstations may experience a slight delay when reading a user’s personal flash drive. The ‘contact systems…’ message may appear during this process....
The turntable in Edit Station #5 is out of service (until further notice) but the computer and other software for sound editing is functioning. -Holden
