Printing PDF/ JSTOR Tips!

Everyone:

You may have encountered patrons experiencing problems with printing PDF documents in Annex 1. The documents are sent to the printer, but they slow down the entire printer network.

In the “Technical Survival Guide” binder (inside the drawer near the Info Point), there are step-by-step instructions on saving the PDF file and changing the print options to reduce the file size.  Look for the “Printing- PDF” tab.

In most cases, the ‘large’ print job have already been sent to the printer and Holden has to delete it from the queue. The guide can help patrons re-send the document to the printer and, hopefully, educate people with saving/ reformatting PDF files.  I’ll arrange  to have copies of the document available  in the Annex 1 desk area.
