LRS Requests

LRS requests are working, if not in the way that we had hoped. According to Innovative it’s not currently possible for LRS Requests to show up in the patron’s record. This may be possible in the future, but don’t count on it.

We’re experiencing problems with the requests for items in the LRS, while Innovative tries to figure out how/if we can turn authentication on for LRS requests. At this point, I don’t think any LRS requests are going through. If we can’t resolve this in an hour or two we’ll revert to the way it was before. Sorry!

    If a patron is able to request a book using the REQUEST ITEM button and just their name, they sometimes can’t tell if their “request” was successful. Usually I have been able to answer this by refreshing the web page for the book and the status changes to “IN TRANSIT.” Sometimes there is a time delay however.

    Mira’s right. There is a sometimes significant delay between requesting an item and seeing the status change to “in transit.” I’ve asked III what triggers the change in status. My guess is that the status changes when the item is picked.
