Express Stations and Students Admitted for Fall

The Express Stations have a new look on the login screen but can still be accessed by anyone (any set of characters, not will initiate a 15 minute session) for 15 minute sessions which can be renewed indefinitely.

We’re seeing a fair number of students who are enrolled for Fall but do not yet have their OneCard and some of them are requesting access to our computers. Rather than setting them up with a Guest account, please encourage them to go get their OneCard and then go to HSS 102 to be manually added to the library database. Alternately they may use the Express stations which don’t require a login.

    Just want to mention that a fair number of community users have discovered that they can just stay at those stations for long periods of time. When they start becoming more necessary for the students to use, there may be conflict.

    Students should be able to use the several hundred other computers we have available for them. I think the only time we almost run out of computers for students was during finals so if community users use these, it’s a good use of the machines.
