Pencils vs Golf Pencils/ Are We Not Office Depot?

Everyone:

I recently stocked all the service desk areas in Annex 1 with new office pencils and attached written markers indicating they should be returned to Annex 1 desk areas.

Today, they’re all gone.

If patrons ask to ‘borrow’ a pencil, a high percentage of them do not return. Remember – we have boxes of ‘golf pencils’. They’re relatively cheap and do not require an honor system for their return.

Please provide them to the public, versus our desk pencils.

    what’s a golf pencil? Is that the tiny ones?

    yes! and if you’ve been to the horse races, county fair, Ikea, etc., you’ve used one!

    I went through my collection old pens and put many in the desk drawer.
