SMOKING CRACKDOWN-Citations will be given

Just got back from the Academic Senate Meeting where it was announced that campus police will begin to cite those who smoke cigarettes outside the designated smoking areas. From now until mid-April those involved with the no smoking campaign will be making those designated smoking areas more visible and less confusing. Let’s see how it pans out here by the Annexes since there is much evidence that lots of people smoke over here where they’re not supposed to.

    I asked some students to ‘not’ smoke near Annex 1 and they weren’t happy. Corrigan’s “smoke-free policy” begins April 12th w/ a $58 fine for those cited. I left some copies of his memo at the Info Point area in Annex 1.
