Students from Zoe Cardoza-Clayson’s H ED 655 class are being asked to “log into the Library’s digital collection” to locate a video called “Changing Nature”. This video is not in our catalog/AT, but is available through Films on Demand. The problem seems to be that Prof. Clayson is using confusing terminology of her own devising (“the library’s digital collection”) rather than pointing them to a database.
On a side note, here’s a similar issue I posted in Fall 09 (again, the confusing terminology):
I have received a handful of requests from students for a film (I believe the title is “China From the Inside”) that their professor, Zoe Clayson, is advising them (via iLearn) is available by “logging into the Library’s digital collections”. This film is not available in Films on Demand. It is available only through AT. Please advise any students making this request that they need to view the film in HSS 127 or have their professor check it out through AT.
